ANNUAL TRIP

Our annual trip is to Chester on Saturday 21st June 2025.

For those who have paid to attend, please note the new pick-up times below:

09.00 a.m. – Pick up at West Vale School

09.15 a.m. – Pick up at Bethesda Church, Elland

Travel by coach to Chester and arrive at around 10:45 a.m.
You will have free time for yourself to have lunch and explore the fascinating
and exciting city of Chester:-
Chester Castle; Cathedral; Grosvenor Museum; St. John’s Parish Church; City Walls etc;
plus the vibrant city shops and refreshment areas.
5:00 p.m. – Leave Chester and return to Elland and West Vale.

Members Meeting

We have now had our last member’s meeting of the current syllabus.

Our next one will be on 10th September 2025.

The meetings are held at Elland Working Mens Club, Rosebery Street, Elland HX5 OHT. (The entrance to the car park is on South Lane, Elland) Meetings start at 7.15 pm.

All welcome. There is a charge of £3.00 for non-members.

Membership

Membership of the Society for the year is £15.00.

Cheques will be accepted. Please make them payable to The Greater Elland Historical Society.

We would also ask that, if you intend paying by cash, that you bring the exact amount as we will have limited change on the night.
