The Society’s
History Room is located in the
centre of Elland, opposite St.
Mary’s Church in Northgate, part of
premises owned by Dobson’s sweet
factory.
It contains the
Society’s archives, including
photographs, documents, artefacts
and publications relating to old
Elland. The room is open and
staffed by volunteers on Wednesday
afternoons throughout the summer
months
(March to
September) between 2:00 p.m. - 4.00
p.m. or by arrangement.
Visitors will
be made welcome at these times and
the volunteers are keen to help and
advise where they are able.
