Town Hall Cinema

 

 

One of our members, Tim Patterson, was fortunate enough to gain access to the old Town Hall Cinema building recently,

where he managed to take a few photos. 

One if them is particularly interesting. It appeared under flash conditions,

 and completely surprised the team of engineers (and Tim).

They were viewing the building for maintenance purposes.

The atmosphere turned quite hostile and very cold for a minute or two and then settled.

(For reference, the picture was taken from the north end of the main room.) 

Perhaps it is simply the spirit of Mary Pickford wishing that the Town Hall was a cinema again!
