View of the Calder Valley from Park Avenue

These photos were taken in 1966 and show the Calder Valley  from a garden in Park Avenue.

Do you remember these clear views of the Valley before trees obscured the outlook

and before Elland By-Pass was built.

The photos show Elland Wood Bottom before it was widened.

Elland Power Station and St Mary's Church were also visible

 before the block of flats was built at the top of Westgate.

I have often wondered who the family is, shown crossing the top of Westgate.
